More on our Lemonade Days

The local Chamber of Commerce is the one that sponsors the Lemonade Days.Whenever the temperature reaches 90 or above free lemonade is served at 5 different locations in our area.A local company provides the lemonade.Volunteers who are called Lemonade Lassies are stationed at the lemonade stands to give out the free lemonade.There is an article in this morning's newspaper stating that free lemonade has now been served 189 times since the Chamber of Commerce promotion started in 1939.There have been summers when it didn't get to 90 or above which meant no free lemonade was served.
The record of 17 lemonade days was set in 1987.Our local Chamber of Commerce is thinking that we might break that record this summer.That is one record we really don't want to break.
