I still have pictures to share from our Thanksgiving getaway to the Virginia Beach area.
The Saturday after Thanksgiving we traveled to Norfolk from Virginia Beach.We were really impressed with Norfolk.It was such a clean city.Granted we were there on a Saturday when it was quiet and that the downtown area was void of people walking around.We went to The Nauticus Museum.The museum includes a tour of the deck of the USS Wisconsin which is in dry dock there.What an impressive and massive ship.Hard to believe that it was in use back in the early 90's.
I took this picture while on the deck of the USS Wisconsin.We got lost trying to find Naticus so by the time we got there we only had about 1 1/2 hours to explore the museum and the deck of The USS Wisconsin.Glad we went but would love to have had more time there.
