We were gone for just about a week to both the Lancaster area and Philadelphia.What a contrast in places.
Sure hope I picked the correct pictures.The first picture is suppose to show an Amish horse and buggy.The second picture is a scene in Philadelphia.We went from the laid back life in Lancaster to the hustle and bustle in Philadelphia.
We had a nice time in both areas although there was such a contrast.In the Lancaster area we went to two different toy train places.The first was The Choo Choo Barn and the second one was the Toy Train Museum.Both of our grandchildren enjoyed both places.I will have pictures to share in some upcoming posts.
We spent a day in Hershey at Hershey Amusement Park.We should have planned for two days since that is such a huge park and nothing like the park I went to as a child.Our grandchildren enjoyed the water park area of the park so much that we didn't have a chance to ride many rides.There are 11 different roller coasters at Hershey Park.
The last day in the Lancaster area was spent at The Childrens Hands On Museum.It was a fun place for both of them.Lots of hands on activities for them to enjoy.
Then it was on to Philadelphia which was my first time in that city.The architecture of so many buildings really amazed me.I took lots of pictures in Philadelphia.Once we valet parked our car at the downtown hotel we didn't move it till we left for home.We did lots of walking in the downtown area.Thankfully it was flat unlike the hills and mountains here at home.
We were fortunate to have tickets for the tour of Independence Hall.We also saw The Liberty Bell.One evening was spent touring the city on "The Ducks Tour".Here is a link for the "Duck tour" if you care to check it out:
We ate lunch at The Reading Terminal Market.It was wall to wall people.What an experience that was.You buy your meals from vendors.With 5 of us in

We are planning to ride the ducks at Stone Mtn when we visit in September!
